Nearby are several military installations making this location an easy commute for service members stationed at Fort Belvoir, Quantico Marine Base, the Pentagon, Fort Myer and Bolling AFB. Students of the community attend William Halley Elementary and South County Secondary Schools.
Close by are the convenient Lorton Town Center and Marketplace at Lorton Station which offer a wealth of shops, services, and dining options. Also popular with many residents is the Lorton Workhouse Arts Center providing visual and performing arts studio and exhibition spaces, as well as a wide range of classes which are made available to the public.
