New Silver Line Metro Opening Soon!

The wait is almost over for the new Silver Line, which will provide metro access to McLean, Tysons Corner and Reston. The new metro line has reached 99% completion and only testing and finishing touches stand in the way of its opening. Merging with the existing Orange Line tracks between East and West Falls Church stations, the silver line will add 5 new stations:

 

  • McLean Station
  • Where: Route 123 at Scotts Crossing Road/Colshire Drive

    Facilities: Pedestrian Bridge, Bus drop-off/pick-up, Kiss & Ride, Bicycle racks & lockers

     

  • Tysons Corner Station
  • Where: Route 123 at Tysons Boulevard

    Facilities: Pedestrian Bridge, Bus drop-off/pick-up, Bicycle racks & lockers

     

  • Greensboro Station
  • Where: On Route 7, northwest of Route 123

    Facilities: Pedestrian Bridge, Bicycle racks & lockers

     

  • Spring Hill Station
  • Where: Route 7 at Spring Hill Road

    Facilities: Pedestrian Bridge, Bus drop-off/pick-up, Kiss & Ride, Bicycle racks & lockers

     

  • Wiehle-Reston East Station
  • Where: West of Wiehle Avenue in the median of the Dulles Airport Access Highway/Dulles Toll Road

    Facilities: Pedestrian Bridge, Bus drop-off/pick-up, Kiss & Ride, Parking, Bicycle racks & lockers
