Lorton Valley is a beautiful community located in the heart of Lorton, Virginia consisting of 502 single family and townhome units built from 2004 to 2006. Within the community there are three subdivisions: Lorton Valley North (single family and townhome units), Village at Lorton Valley (single family homes), and Gunston Commons (townhomes). A variety of 2-car garage models are offered for both the single family and townhomes with square footages ranging 3,150 to 5,200 for the single family homes and 2,400 to 3,300 for the townhomes. Residents have access to a spectacular community center with a pool, fitness center, sports courts, party room and multiple playgrounds. They also enjoy having direct access to the Laurel Hill Shared Use Trail System with 10 miles of scenic trails for bikers, runners and equestrians. The HOA maintains a helpful community website and a Facebook page which is open to residents only.

This tucked-away community is located only 15 miles south of Washington D.C. and is just a few minutes from major commuter routes such as Interstate 95 and the Fairfax County Parkway. For those looking to take public transportation, the Virginia Railway Express (VRE) is right up the road at Lorton Station, and the Franconia/Springfield Transportation Center is a short drive away which provides access to Metro, VRE, and both Greyhound and Metro bus services. Nearby are several military installations making this location an easy commute for service members stationed at Fort Belvoir, Quantico Marine Base, the Pentagon, Fort Myer and Bolling AFB. Students of the community attend William Halley Elementary and South County Secondary Schools.
Close by are the convenient Lorton Town Center and Marketplace at Lorton Station which offer a wealth of shops, services, and dining options. Also popular with many residents is the Lorton Workhouse Arts Center providing visual and performing arts studio and exhibition spaces, as well as a wide range of classes which are made available to the public.
