Loftridge / Wellington Green
Loft Ridge, or Wellington Green as it is sometimes called, is a spectacular planned community of 284 townhomes situated off of Franconia Road in Alexandria. This private and peaceful neighborhood is filled with tree-lined streets between Loft Ridge Park (maintained by Fairfax County) and Clermont School Park. The 2 sections of the subdivision are connected by a pedestrian trail from the end of Lofthill Court, past the Evergreen Knoll tot lot and through to the Ridge View Drive tennis courts area. Loft Ridge Park consists of miles of nature trails, while Clermont Park has several athletic fields. Loft Ridge is a very dog and pedestrian friendly area. These 3 level townhomes, built between 1983 and 1984, have 2, 3 or 4 bedrooms with total square footage ranging from 1,674 to 2,376. Available model names consist of the Berkeley, Custis, Blair, Tazewell, Abingdon and Quinby. Kids attend Clermont Elementary, Twain Intermediate and Edison High Schools.

The Huntington (yellow line) and Van Dorn (blue line) Metro stations are the most convenient to this neighborhood. Bus service is widely available, as are Amtrak and VRE trains at either the Alexandria or Franconia-Springfield stations. Loft Ridge is very close to Interstates 495, 395 and 95 for travel throughout the D.C. Metro area. Ronald Reagan National Airport is the nearest airport. The U.S. Army Reserve Center, Fort Belvoir, the Pentagon, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the Hoffman Buildings are all short distances away from here. Residents also find it easy to commute to Tyson’s Corner and downtown D.C.
Old Town Alexandria and Del Ray, with their unique mixture of shops, restaurant and entertainment venues, are great places to plan leisure activities. Cameron Run Regional Park and the Hoffman Town Center are located just a few minutes away on Eisenhower Avenue. Patrons enjoy Cameron Run’s Great Waves Waterpark, multiple batting cages, miniature golf course and picnic areas.
