Kingstowne is a spectacular planned community of over 5,300 homes and endless amenities in Alexandria, Virginia. There is a wide variety of fresh produce, baked goods, specialty meats and flowers for sale. World Market, Bath & Body Works and Home Goods are popular shops. Tree-lined streets feature a range of housing choices: single family homes, townhomes and garden-style condos. Several floor plans and styles of homes are available to suit every taste. There are 3 condo complexes within Kingstowne: Eton Square, Stratford Place and the Chancery. The numerous neighborhood amenities include 22 miles of jogging/walking trails, 2 outdoor swimming pools, several tennis, basketball and volleyball courts, 2 state-of-the-art fitness centers, an aerobics studio and 24 tot-lots scattered about. There are also 3 community centers with party facilities and full kitchens, which can be rented out by residents. Kingstowne sponsors several free activities throughout the year; photos with Santa, a haunted graveyard and an Easter egg hunt are just a few. Fee-based programs, such as private yoga lessons, massage therapy, dance classes, swim lessons and soccer camps are also available to residents. There is something here for everyone! The homeowners association maintains a fantastic website with lots of important information; there are community announcements, contact information and a special password-protected member’s only section. The Kingstonian magazine is sent out monthly to owners and residents; it can also be accessed online. Wonderfully written articles, a community calendar and neighborhood news can all be found in the Kingstonian.

This area is well-located near many employment, shopping and entertainment possibilities. It is situated between Fort Belvoir and the Pentagon, making it very easy for anyone working there. The offices at Metro Park, the U.S Coast Guard Navigation Center, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and Bolling Air Force Base are all easily accessible from Kingstowne. Downtown D.C. is just a short distance away as well, whether you are headed to your office or visiting the memorials, checking out a new restaurant or seeing the latest play. Old Town Alexandria, with its abundance of chic shops, art galleries and trendy restaurants, is very close by and is popular with Kingstowne residents. It also offers several historical attractions such as the Masonic Temple, Gadsby’s Tavern and the Carlyle House. Performing arts venues include the Little Theatre of Alexandria and Metro Stage.
