TSA Headquarters Moving to Springfield, Virginia

New TSA Headquarters

Land where the new TSA HQ will be built.

It has been announced that the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) will build their new world-class headquarters in Springfield, Virginia.

Springfield will be the beneficiary of approximately 3,000 jobs, and we are sure that it will attract more amenities to the Springfield Town Center. Easy access to Metro and VRE is a big plus, and means that folks from as far away as Quantico and Fredericksburg would be able to ride to work instead of driving.

According to Jeff McKay, Lee District Supervisor, the TSA’s decision “is no doubt due to our hard work revitalizing and building Springfield into what it is now: a successful economic powerhouse and transportation hotspot for the Mid-Atlantic Region.”

The headquarters will be built on Springfield Center Drive, which is very close to the 70-acre GSA warehouse development that was being considered for the FBI.

TSA is currently headquartered in Pentagon City.
