Things to do this weekend! (Jan 24-26)

Here are a few activities to consider when making your weekend plans!

All you car enthusiasts will want to go to the Washington Auto Show, which is at the DC Convention Center through Feb 2nd

On Saturday, 2 local men’s basketball teams will be playing each other–George Washington will face George Mason at the Patriot Center (12:00 PM)

Also on Saturday, Mount Vernon will present a “signature walking tour”, where guests will be able to see rooms not usually open to the public like the 3rd floor and basement (3:30 PM, daily through March 14)

Feeling like some culture this weekend? Choices include seeing a new musical called “Violet” at Ford’s Theatre, (runs through Feb 23), going to the The Barns at Wolf Trap to hear Maceo Parker play sax or seeing The Dali String Quartet at The National Gallery of Art

Another interesting event is called “Sips and Suppers“; this is a fundraising event at the Newseum to benefit the DC Central Kitchen and Martha’s Table.  There will be food and drinks from more than 30 chefs, mixologists and wineries. Jose Andres is one of the hosts.
