Presidential Hills is a prestigious community of 55 single-family homes built by Centex during 2001, 2002 and 2003. These homes have expansive open floor plans with total square footage between 4,808 and 7,325. Models featured in this community include the Mason, Jamestown, Bishop and Huntley. Four, five and six bedroom homes can be found here. Each has either a 2 or 3 car front-loading or side-loading garage. All homes were constructed on lots between .24 and .63 acres, providing for a wealth of privacy for residents. Children in this neighborhood attend Rolling Valley Elementary, Key Middle and John R. Lewis High Schools. Nearby Hooes Road park offers tennis courts, baseball and soccer fields, while South Run RECenter features a wide range of exercise options. It was remodeled a few years ago to include a 2-story fitness center with a Pilates studio, spin bikes, video simulators and individual screens on many pieces of cardio equipment, new strength training equipment and more. There is also a 25 x 2 meter swimming pool, several athletic fields, sports courts and trails connecting to Burke Lake Park.
This community is located just off the Fairfax County Parkway in Springfield and is close to everything the area has to offer. The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency will be consolidating local facilities into “New Campus East”, which will be located on the Engineer Proving Ground at Fort Belvoir, making Presidential Hills a prime location for personnel stationed there. Fort Belvoir, 2 Coast Guard Stations, the Pentagon, Fort Myer, the Navy Yard and Andrews/Bolling Air Force Bases can all easily be reached from here. The Fairfax County Parkway provides a painless entry to the HOV lanes of Interstate 95/395 along with the Beltway, Route 29 or Interstate 66. No matter whether you are heading into downtown D.C. or the Dulles corridor, you are well on your way. The Franconia-Springfield Transportation Center houses facilities for Metro Rail (blue line trains), VRE, Amtrak and Greyhound; Fairfax Connector and Metro bus service is also available from the Gambrill Road Park & Ride Lot to transport commuters to the Metro.
