Wellington Commons

Wellington Commons is a conveniently located community of townhomes constructed by Carr in the late 1980s right at the intersection of Franconia Road and South Van Dorn Street in Alexandria. These 140 units are available with and without garages. Square footage ranges between 1,500 and 2,546. Models found here are the Kent, Cornwall and Windsor. Streets in Wellington Commons include Aspley House Court, Parenham Way, Talavera Court and Wellington Commons Drive. The active homeowners association maintains a website with loads of pertinent information for residents. According to their website, their “management goals are to make Wellington Commons a nice place to live and to support homeowner investment”. A lake and a gazebo are the centerpiece of Wellington Commons. Walking paths can be found scattered about the neighborhood and lead to a great playground. Students attend Bush Hill Elementary, Twain Intermediate and Edison High Schools. Edison is literally right across Franconia Road from this community—talk about convenience!
