About

Overlook

Overlook is a fabulous community of 443 homes located off Edsall Road in Alexandria. It is less than 1 mile to I-395 and is only 1.5 miles to the Van Dorn Metro station. Several bus routes along Edsall Road make it very easy to get where you are going. Interstates 495 and 95 are close by as well. This community is approximately 12 miles to Washington D.C., making commuting downtown a breeze. The neighborhood straddles Bren Mar Park and is surrounded by woods and nature trails. Three streams are located in or adjacent to the community. There are 2 entrances to Overlook, Timber Forest Drive and Winterview Drive. Each entrance leads to a different section of Overlook with its own sense of identity. Semi-detached “city homes” and larger 2-car garage townhomes can be found off of Winterview Drive, while Timber Forest Drive leads to a mixture of garage and non-garage townhomes and condominiums, some of which have 2-levels that make them seem more like townhomes.

The homes were built between 1997 and 2001. Students attend Bren Mar Park Elementary, Poe Middle and Annandale High Schools.
