Ashby Heights
Ashby Heights is a collection of single family homes built by Equity in 2005. Located in the Kingstowne area of Alexandria, these 18 homes make up Ashby Heights Circle and typically include 2-car garages, 4-5 bedrooms and many quality upgrades. The three available models are the Chelsea, Mosby and Quincy. This small knit community is very close to Wegmans and the Hilltop Village Center with its unique restaurants.
Living in Ashby Heights
The Kingstowne Town Center is just down the road and features shops, restaurants, grocery stores and a 16-screen movie theater. The Hayfield shopping center and the Landsdowne Centre are both convenient as well; each has its own collection of restaurants and services. Regional shopping choices include Tyson’s Corner Center, Tyson’s Galleria and the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City. Those looking for leisure activities might enjoy Greendale golf course, Huntley Meadows Wildlife Preserve or Franconia District Park and Rec Center (swimming pool, sports fields and other recreational facilities). Additionally, Old Town Alexandria, Shirlington and downtown D.C. offer an abundance of entertainment choices.
This area is very convenient to all sorts of transportation and employment options. The Franconia-Springfield Metro station (blue line) is only a few minutes drive; there is also access to Amtrak, Greyhound and the VRE Fredericksburg line at the same facility. Bus service is readily available. HOV lanes and all major commuter routes such as the Fairfax County Parkway and I-495/395/95 are close by. Fort Belvoir, Fort Myers, the Pentagon, a U.S. Coast Guard station and Bolling Air Force base are all easily reached from Ashby Heights. Defense contractors, technology corporations and the INOVA Healthplex can all be found at the Metro Park office complex.
