Windy Hill at Lincolnia is a vibrant community of 280 single family homes, townhouses and garden-style condos inside the Beltway in Alexandria, VA. There are a variety of styles and floor plans available. The single-family homes have total square footage between 3,176 and 3,907; the Norfolk, Richmond and Danville models can be found here. These homes have 2-car garages and either 4 or 5 bedrooms. All townhomes have a 1 or 2 car garage and between 2 and 4 bedrooms. Models available include the Gatsby, Ramsey, Chowning, Wetherburne, Raleigh, Randolph and Patrick. Square footage runs between 1,836 and 3,087. Some of the townhome units have 4 levels. The condo community is called Windy Hill; there are 7 buildings that consist of 92 units. There are 2 and 3 bedroom units with square footage between 1,151 and 1,307. Living in Windy Hill at Lincolnia

This community was built by Coscan Washington between 1998 and 1999; it is surrounded by lots of trees and walking paths. All residents enjoy the exclusive use of an outdoor swimming pool, an elegant clubhouse that can be rented out for special events, basketball courts and tot-lots. Students attend Bren Mar Park Elementary, Poe Middle and Annandale High Schools.

Due to its easy proximity to 395, Metro and entertainment choices, it’s no wonder that many people choose to live in this neighborhood. The Edsall Road entrance to I-395 is just a couple minutes away, making it very convenient for commuters. Fairfax Connector and Metro buses stop just 3 blocks away to take you to the Van Dorn Metro (blue line trains) or on an express route to the Pentagon. Should you need a yellow line train, the Eisenhower Metro is convenient too. The closest entrance to the Beltway is on Van Dorn Street. Downtown D.C. is only about 15 minutes away along 395, with access to Shirlington, Pentagon City and Crystal City along the way. The Village at Shirlington provides countless ways to pass the time. There are a wide range of restaurants like Cheesetique, Guapo’s, T.H.A.I Shirlington, and Carlyle. The Fashion Centre at Pentagon City and Pentagon Row are great places to indulge in shopping or leisure activities. There are a wide variety of specialty, department and upscale shops at the Fashion Centre, which is easily reached by Metro if you’d rather not drive. Pentagon Row is extraordinary outdoor collection of shops, restaurants, a Harris Teeter, cafes and even an outdoor ice skating rink. An outdoor musical concert series takes place on the center quad in summer months. Heading in the opposite direction into the city of Alexandria, the Hoffman Center, Del Ray and Old Town feature a wealth of interesting restaurants, shops and places to enjoy music. Nearby Bren Mar Park includes several athletic fields and walking/jogging trails.

Windy Hill at Lincolnia is very convenient to many of the area’s leading employers. Aside from the Pentagon, area military establishments include Fort Belvoir, Fort Myer, Bolling Air Force, 2 Coast Guard stations and an Army Reserve Center. It isn’t even that far to cross over the Woodrow Wilson Bridge into Maryland to get to Andrews Air Force Base. Other easy employment choices include the Hoffman Buildings, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the variety of companies at the Metro Park complex.
