Westhampton

Westhampton is a community of 105 luxurious single-family homes built by Equity Homes and Basheer and Edgemore between 1998 and 2000. These residences are situated along Carawood Court, Creek Crest Way, Fernholly Court, Hampton Creek Way, Hunters Oak Court, Spring Summit Road and Woolin Place in Springfield. Very spacious floor plans are standard in this community, with total square footage ranging from 3,755 to 6,264. Many homes feature loads of custom upgrades and back to trees/parkland, wooded conservation areas or the creek.

Living in Westhampton

The Westhampton community sits on a portion of the former Hunter property, a 167 acre estate bordered by Accotink Creek. Homes are sited on .21 to .90 acre lots. Several of the available models include the Ashmont, Evesham, Cliffehurst (Basheer & Edgemoor), Sheffield, Dorset, Oxford and Edinburgh (Equity Homes). This neighborhood features tree-lined streets and plenty of open common areas.

This distinctive group of homes is very well located for travel throughout the Washington, D.C. Metro area. The Springfield Metro station is only a mile away and also boasts access to VRE and Amtrak trains. All major arteries are convenient, including the Fairfax County Parkway, the Beltway and Interstates 395, 95 and 66. Whether you are going to shop at Tyson’s Corner or commute to your downtown office, there is an easy way to get there from here. Fort Belvoir, the new campus of the National Geopspatial-Intelligence Agency on the Engineer Proving Ground and the Pentagon are all super close. There are a variety of government contractor/technology companies and the INOVA Healthplex at the Metro Park complex off of Beulah Street. Children attend Garfield Elementary, Key Middle and Lee High Schools.

The nearby Hooes Road Park offers recreational opportunities in its baseball fields, tennis courts and soccer fields. Located off of Old Keene Mill Road, the Springfield Country Club is a great place for residents to unwind. It features an 18-hole championship golf course, 6 outdoor tennis courts, 6 lane competition swimming pool, dining rooms and an active social calendar. Fairfax County’s South Run RECenter has recently undergone an overhaul and provides a nice atmosphere for staying in shape. The expanded 2-story fitness center boasts new strength training equipment, state of the art entertainment system with individual screens and video simulators on many cardio machines, Pilates studio, spin bikes, a sizeable stretching area and a wide range of classes. Other highlights include a 24,000 square foot field house with turf field, athletic fields, an off-leash dog area and lots of walking paths that lead to Burke Lake Park and Lake Mercer.
