Pohick Village

Pohick Village is a terrific 275-unit townhome community in Lorton close to Fort Belvoir’s Tulley Gate. These 2 and 3 bedroom homes were built between 1983 and 1990 along Aspenpark Court/Road, Lone Star Road/Court, Sheffield Hunt Court and Wounded Knee Road. The most common models found here are the Alcott, Braxton, Jefferson and Fairfield; total square footage ranges between 1,680 and 1,840. Children attend Lorton Station Elementary and Hayfield Secondary Schools. There is a local bus stop within walking distance of this community and lots of major commuter transportation routes are in the area.

Living in Pohick Village

Route 1, Interstates 395/95, Rolling Road, the Fairfax County Parkway and the Beltway are all convenient. The Lorton VRE station is well situated at the Lorton Town Center; it offers service to the Franconia-Springfield Metro station and continues into Alexandria, Crystal City and Washington D.C. On the other hand, if you are travelling further south, the VRE also has trains departing for Fredericksburg with stops in Woodbridge, Quantico and others along the way.

Residents have access to a variety of recreational, shopping and dining choices in Lorton. Pohick Bay Regional Park is situated along the Potomac River and has boat launch facilities, a large outdoor swimming pool, canoe/paddleboat/kayak rentals, camping and hiking areas. There is something here for the whole family to enjoy. Golf enthusiasts will want to check out Pohick Bay’s scenic course on the Mason Neck Peninsula. A practice facility, full service pro shop and a snack bar are available for patrons to use. Many people in the area love the Lorton Station Town Center with its many service providers and restaurants. Current tenants include a medical center, Curves for Women, Lorton Dry Cleaners, Salon Prive, Daily Grind, Pane e Vino, Fireside Grill and Vocelli Pizza. There is a great restaurant, American BBQ, right on Telegraph Road near Pohick Village. For those interested in history, the nearby Mount Vernon Estate, Woodlawn Plantation and Gunston Hall make great outings.
