Hunter Valley

Hunter Valley is a great collection of 114 townhomes just off the Fairfax County Parkway in Springfield. Both garage and non-garage units are available on the tree-lined Kousa Lane and Stream Way. There are 2 dedicated parking spaces for the homes without garages. These homes have square footage ranging from 1,800 to 2,040 and were built between 1982 and 1985. Various floor plans, including the Kinsey, Winston, Radner and Harwich models can be found in this community. Students attend Rolling Valley Elementary, Key Middle and Lee High Schools. This community is located very close to major transportation choices, including the Gambrill Road Park & Ride lot, Metro, VRE and more.

Living in Hunter Valley

The Gambrill Road lot is served by Fairfax Connector and Metro buses, with transport to the Franconia-Springfield Metro Station. This blue line station also provides access to VRE and Greyhound. Alternately, commuters can meet up for carpooling at the Park & Ride lot. Residents have an easy entry to HOV lanes from the Fairfax County Parkway; the Beltway and Interstates 95, 395 and 66 are all convenient. There is even a Metro bus stop at the entrance to this community. An option available for everyone!

This community is very convenient to Fort Belvoir, the Pentagon, recreational facilities and shopping areas. Other nearby military bases include Fort Myer, Bolling Air Force Base, the Navy Yard, 2 Coast Guard stations and Andrews Air Force Base. Hunter Valley is close to 2 Fairfax County RECenters, Audrey Moore and South Run. Both feature swimming pools, exercise facilities with cardio and strength training equipment, dance/aerobics studios, sports courts and walking trails. Audrey Moore also boasts a skate park, pottery and photography labs and a farmer’s market during the warm months.

Nearby parks such as Pohick Stream Valley and West Springfield Village provide spaces to soak in the fresh air. Hunter Village is very close to both Kingstowne and Springfield shopping areas. The Kingstowne Town Center features a 16-screen movie theater, 2 grocery stores, a dry cleaner and many shops and restaurants. They consist of World Market, Chipotle, Bonefish Grill, Panera Bread, Moby Dick House of Kabob and Macaroni Grill. Area Springfield merchants include Whole Foods Market, Mike’s American Grill, Austin Grill, Best Buy and Home Depot.
