about

Yvonne Collins

Yvonne Collins is English; she started her working life in the British Civil Service as a GS11. One of her notable jobs was working for Royalty Protection. Famously, a man named Fagan broke into Buckingham Palace and visited the Queen's chambers and had a chat with her. Obviously, this caused some concern and a new department was formed-Royalty Protection. While working there, Yvonne had the wonderful experience of roaming the halls of Buckingham Palace and the gardens where she met the live Pink Flamingos. She was also in Princess Diana and Prince Charles residence at Kensington Palace, and Windsor Castle. Her love of working with people and property started when she was the Housing Officer for RAF Upper Heyford, an American Airforce base in Oxfordshire. She managed the on-base housing and helped military families. Being a military wife herself, she's well aware of the stress of military transfers and PCSing to a new base. Yvonne has resided in Virginia for 31 years and has been a Real Estate Agent for 18. She has weathered the rapid price increases in 2004 working with buyers who had to compete with escalation clauses and no home inspection, and here we are in 2020 with the same market! When the crash came in 2009, she became the Short Sale queen of her Springfield office. Yvonne's years of experience with hundreds of clients and fluctuating markets has served her well. She's seen it all. Her infinite patience and knowledge enable her to work with buyers and sellers from first-timers to the luxury market. She meets each client at their level of need and education in the housing market. Yvonne attracts people from all walks of life. Many clients choose her because of the Queen, or their affiliation with Britain. But they stay with her because of her knowledge, negotiation skills, and her caring ability to listen and help them find the best solutions for their real estate needs.
