Alden Hill is a private enclave of 22 luxury single family homes built by Centex in 2005. This neighborhood is located just off Telegraph Road in Alexandria; it is in a great location near everything the area has to offer. It is right down the street from Wegman's and Hayfield Elementary and Secondary schools. Fort Belvoir is just a few minutes away, and the U.S. Coast Guard Navigation Center is right down the road. It is very close to the Landsdowne Centre which houses a Fairfax County Library, several restaurants, a CVS, restaurants and more. The Kingstowne Town Center with its shops, restaurants, grocery stores and 16-screen movie theatre is nearby as well. Panera Bread, Firehouse Subs, Bonefish Grill, World Market and Home Goods are some of the choices available.

Residents looking for recreational activities only need to drive a few minutes to Franconia Park and Rec Center (indoor swimming pool, exercise facility, sports courts and more), Greendale Golf Course and Huntley Meadows Wildlife Preserve. Regional shopping destinations include Tyson’s Corner Center, Tyson’s Galleria, Pentagon City Mall and Fair Oaks Shopping Center. Old Town Alexandria, Shirlington and downtown D.C. are all easily reached from this neighborhood; each has its own mix of entertainment options.

Transportation options abound for residents of this community. Alden Hill is close to all major transportation routes, including the Fairfax County Parkway, 495/95/395 and all HOV lanes. The Springfield Transportation Center is very convenient and offers access to MetroRail (Blue Line), VRE’s Fredericksburg line, and Greyhound buses.
