Cedar Knolls is a gorgeous community of 44 single family homes in the Kingstowne area of Alexandria. Ryan Homes started developing the 15-acre site in 1999, with most homes completed and occupied between 2000 and 2002. There are 2 streets in Cedar Knolls-Clifton Knoll Court and Mittendorf Place. Both feature homes with 2-car garages, 4-5 bedrooms, decent lot sizes between .19 and .63 and mixture of the available models: Zachery, Victoria, Oberlin, Avalon, Waverly and Patterson.

Its very easy to access major employment destinations from this neighborhood; commuter routes include I-495/395/95 and the Fairfax County Parkway. The Springfield Transportation Center is a great option for those who would rather not drive. With Metro Rail (blue line trains), VRE, Greyhound, and local bus service available, its only a matter of determining how you’d like to ride! Fort Belvoir, the Pentagon and Bolling Air Force Base are only a short distance away. The offices at the Metro Park complex and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office are convenient for residents as well.
The unique shops, restaurants and historical attractions of Old Town Alexandria are only a short distance away, as is the charm of nearby Del Ray. Other shopping destinations in the area include Fair Oaks Mall, Tyson’s Corner Center and Tyson’s Galleria; they offer a myriad of department stores, specialty shops, upscale boutiques and restaurants. The Kingstowne Town Center is a terrific local option. It features a 16-screen movie theater, 2 grocery stores, many restaurants and shops.
